A personal shopper helps people to choose their purchases such as clothes, or to purchase items on the client’s behalf, while also giving advice and making suggestions.
You need to be able to communicate easily and listen to what your client wants you to buy.
No formal education is needed but previous experience of working in a retail shop would be beneficial.
Certain department and boutique stores employ personal shoppers for their clients in which case you would be paid by that particular shop.
If you are a freelance personal shopper, then you can charge by the hour for your services.
